Biography | |
I paint abstract on rusted sheets of steel, mostly outdoors wherever my journey takes me. I feel the energy from many beautiful locations and I transform it into my art. My art is fundamentally spiritual and meditative. I use water, sun, sand, rain, salts and acrylic paint. By painting, sponging, sanding, and scratching the steel it evolves until the final coatings. The rust patterns contain beauty, depth, and mystique. Many pieces will have up to 40 coats of paint and glazing. |

Style Abstract |
 |
A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form. |
