Art by Bryce King
Bryce was a tile installer for many years and an artist for as long as he can remember. Although he tried to immerse himself in mediums such as oil, pastels, and acrylic, he was never really satisfied at the results. While I was installing tile in my own home I wanted to have a tile floor that no one had ever seen before. I tried geometrical designs, but still was not satisfied. I finally figured out how to make pictures on the tile and then taught myself how to cut them out. I had finally found my medium.
Bryce King has truly redefined art. He has taken the commonplace and transformed it into art that will last a lifetime. Tile-art is perhaps the most versatile medium in existence. The pictures cut out of natural stone, marble, granite, and ceramic have a unique beauty all of their own, and are one of the few mediums that wont smudge, tear, or fade and that resist water damage.
Each of his pieces are carefully cut by hand (as opposed to water jet) and therefore no two will ever be identical (even if they are of the same picture). When you purchase an art piece by Bryce, you can be certain that you are getting a one of a kind masterpiece, whether its a beautiful rendition of another artist or one of Bryces own unique designs.
Custom orders are always welcome. If you are unsure of a specific picture, but have a general idea, Bryce is more than willing to sit down and draft up some pictures for you.
