| Biography | |
Born in New Jersey, Kevin has spent most of his life in Northern California. Kevin has enjoyed art for as long as he can remember. As a child he found art to be a creative expression that always felt natural and enjoyable to him. During grade school Kevin enjoyed drawing images, wildlife, cartoon characters and landscape illustrations and often received awards for his work at shows. Later on in life he began using pastel chalk and eventually found his nitch using acrylics on canvas.
Kevin feels most of his talent came from his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Dever formally known as, "Margarett of the Roses". She was an art teacher much of her life.
Kevin enjoys painting contemporary and abstract images that emphasizes emotions and real life experiences through color blending, lines and textures. Sometimes the final results are not anticipated.
The commercializing of his art work has been recently been exposed to people who appreciate fine art. His passion for using acrylics on canvas illustrates a commitment to a unique style with the emphasis placed on quality in every stroke. Those of us who appreciate fine art can expect great things from Kevin Barry Dever in the future. |
