Biography | |
The more horrifying this world becomes, the more art becomes abstract. We live in an age where the artist is forgotten. I don't know what to say about what I paint, really. I never know what I'm going to put on the canvas. The canvas paints itself. I'm just the middleman. I dream of painting and then I paint my dream. I dream a lot. I do more painting when I'm not painting. It's in the subconscious. I put my heart and my soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process. I don't really have studios -- I wander around people's attics, out in fields, in cellars, anyplace I find that invites me. They say an artist is never ahead of his time but most people are far behind theirs.
With appreciation,
