Honored artist of Russia.
Born in Moscow in 1931.
In 1958 graduated from the Surikov art institute in Moscow. Diploma work was done in the studio of Dehterjov.
In the years of work in publish houses of Moscow he designed and illustrated over 150 books.
Participated in republican and international exhibitions.
He is well known for his illustrations to the Russian classics.
Many of his works are in domestic and foreign museums. |

A style of painting which depicts subject matter (form, color, space) as it appears in actuality or ordinary visual experience without distortion or stylization. In a general sense, refers to objective representation. More specifically, a nineteenth century movement, especially in France, that rejected idealized academic styles in favor of everyday subjects. Daumier, Millet, and Courbet were realists. |
