Biography | |
Born and razed in the riverdelta of the Netherland, seeing all kinds of boats passing by. To all destinations of the world installed a sence of freedom and spirit of going places and meeting people. This lead to after finishing agricultural college in 1988, and fulfilling compulsery army duty till 1990 a travelling period that lasted for 10 years. Many of the impressions done up in the years ended up in drawings and paintings. Warm people and counties in vivid colours and strong brush strokes and at the same time soft very detailed pencil work. In 2000 started a studio and that's the main base till now. There I tried some other mediums like woodcarving and sculpting. After having a lot of fun with this returned slowly back to the first love, drawing and painting. At the moment working from the Netherland and Norway on project "Norwegian light". This project will run till may 2010 and everybody is invited to give comments on the drawings. Hope for constructive comments. All comments will be collected and at the and will be printed with the drawing in a book. The five drawings with the most reactions will enter a lucky draw among the people who commented. Looking forward to your reaction. |
