| Biography | |
I am a 64-year-old writer (nonfiction books about science and scientists for young adults, plus poetry) who is reinventing herself as an artist, a lost childhood dream resurrected in midlife. Discovering, playing with, and bringing to othersâ attention the wonders of the outer world of nature and the inner world of the imagination is my passion. With the help of Photoshop, my collages transform what is into what might be and endeavor to open doors into magical realms. My jewelry arises from my Raven-like love of bright colors and pretty shiny things.
I live in El Cerrito, California, with my husband (beloved fellow writer, computer guru, and philosopher), a variable number of cats, and Emilia, my digital camera, who goes with me almost everywhere. In addition to writing and art, I have done volunteer storytelling and nature guiding for local nature education centers. |
