Biography
Robert Finch is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and currently resides in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and South Beach, Miami. His work has been labeled as mystical impressionism. His medium is acrylic on canvas. The artist attended school at The Sorbonne in Paris for a period of time where he fell in love with art. After graduating from Rhodes College with a B.A. in History/French with a concentration on the Renaissance and Reformation he went to work for The Eastman Kodak Company for several years before making his way as an artist in South Beach.

Finch draws his inspiration from his intense interest in the Spirit world and has been a student of A Course in Miracles for over 18 years. He finds most of his pleasure in nature and travel and travels often to Mexico to a remote seaside village on the western coast where he maintains a primitive palapa and studio workspace. The village is occupied by the Huichol Indians, one of only two Indian tribes to survive the Spanish conquest. There are no automobiles there and may be reached only by foot or boat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huichol

Finch says he relates to the other side more often than he does to this world. He finds the ego fascinating to observe, especially in South Beach, which he labels a light center. He says, "This is a special place where Spirit has called many of us to gather to meet and begin to work out our differences in the name of Peace."

"Finch uses a variety of instruments to apply brilliant colors of acrylic paint on canvases which charm the eye and warm the heart. His creative expression is unusually abstract, mystical and impressionistic. Something everyone should have the opportunity to see."

Acrylic is a popular and versatile painting medium, using pigments dispersed in a polymethyl methacrylate vehicle. Acrylic paintings are generally less translucent than oil paintings.
