| Biography | |
| I was born and raised in Cameroon, moved to Germany for a year when I was 18. It is then that I started drawing when I was bored. I came to the U.S. in 1991 to finish high school, and continued to draw, even took an art class, had an exhibit at my school, and some of my work hung in the main office. After high school, I went to college, in 1992, but had an inspirational breakthrough in 1993, when I did about twenty "major" pieces of art. Major because of the subject matter, the mastery of the media, and various techniques. I took a few more art classes, but then stopped in 1994. I guess due to lack of self motivation and positive reinforcement. Fast forward twelve years. I started drawing again in 2005, on and off, but have kicked into a higher gear this year. Fall seems to be the season I am at my most creative, and inspired. I intend to finish work on some of the themes, I began working on in 1993, and will have more work to share with you soon. I use oil pastels on paper. I am still learning how to use oil paint which is a medium, I would like to master, but for now, it's oil pastels. My work is mostly abstract, very colorful, and unique. |
