I am a self taught for the most part watercolor and oil painting artist.  I was taught way back in the early 70s how to watercolor but life  got  in the way and I found myself in the US Marine corps.  I was in the service 6 years and went on with a career as an electrician, in 2005 I was disabled due to menegitis which almost took my life.  I was in ICU for 3 weeks and the outlook and prognosis was not good.  I lost my career as an electrician but am glad Im alive 5 years later.  I use watercoloring to help me with cognitive skills and to express myself...
