Description | |
The "Flow" series is an ongoing study of the interactions of light and moving water. The series consists in part of photorealistic renditions and in part of abstract interpretations of this theme. Light and it's play in water have for me a spiritual significance. Both the abstract and photorealistic compositions are reminiscent of informal painting. |

Movement in painting, originating in New York City in the 1940s. It emphasized spontaneous personal expression, freedom from accepted artistic values, surface qualities of paint, and the act of painting itself. Pollock, de Kooning, Motherwell, and Kline, are important abstract expressionists. |
