Description | |
It has taken me some time to exhibit this painting as the color of the photograph does not satisfy me and although I have a new camera, it makes no difference. So first of all, the real color of this painting is incredible and creates a depth of entrance in the foreground that has to be lived. This place does actually exist although details have been changed or rearranged. Carmona is a small city in the province of Seville in Andalucia, Spain. The history of the city goes back to the beginning, as everything really does. This patio and its fountain which displays neoclassical design masks in the arabesque heritage old quarter of the original town, is quite unique. The male and female elements are so perfectly described and the third element, so essential in creation is, once again perfectly displayed by the fountain and its water. |

Same Style Realism |
 |
A style of painting which depicts subject matter (form, color, space) as it appears in actuality or ordinary visual experience without distortion or stylization. In a general sense, refers to objective representation. More specifically, a nineteenth century movement, especially in France, that rejected idealized academic styles in favor of everyday subjects. Daumier, Millet, and Courbet were realists. |
