Oil on canvas |
Description | |
This piece, being all about fungus, holds a great length of time within.
The shape of a mushroom (a beautiful type of fungus) is made of literally slices of dried mushrooms. Again the art of time and change is depicted in them, the change that was beautiful to observe over time. The background is also a test of time. The layered collages were made of photographs that were taken over a 10 day experiment of observing fungus destroying 3 tomatoes. The contrast between softly textured and warm organic colour pattern against flat and sharp background pattern together holds a lot in common and complements each other. |
