Biography | |
No this isn't me. This is my grandson. He looks a lot better than I am.
I am 61 years young and painting for 50 years. Looking back I constantly painted to get recognition. I used to paint what viewers like. Somehow I was thought if you are not famous you aren't an artist. Now I realized when the artist comes to the point execute the work as the artist feels accomplished the artist is an artist to him/her and to viewers who appreciate the artworks.
So I'm glad I still have time to paint the way I see the world. I want to share the passion for the esthete with who appreciate the story reflect upon the modest existence, nostalgy of everyday live, the simple beauty around us can be forgotten.
I don't paint unusual, shocking images or political statement.
The art is my comfort, enjoy and loose myself in. I live to paint.
For the first time in my life I feel free. I granted myself the freedom to paint the way I please. I am finally a true artist beyound the restrictions of the social evaluation. |
