Born in Rochester, New York, in 1956, John Flynn was a daydreamer as a child. At an early age he was a daydreamer who found love in drawing and painting that would become his passion. The artist moved to New York City, where he attended college at F.I.T. and also studied at the Art Students League and School of Visual Arts. He became a freelance illustrator in the culturally rich environment of New York and taught rendering at the Parsons School of Design. Eventually Mr. Flynn moved to the North Shore of Massachusetts and focused more on painting. His work has been shown in several Boston area galleries as well in the Midwest. His portfolio includes landscapes, interiors, still lifes, and portraiture. He is available for commissions. Mr. Flynn is a juried member of several professional organizations, including the Rockport Art Association, North Shore Arts Association, Copley Society of Art, and Oil Painters of America. |
