Biography | |
Luobo Gelda is a Lithuanian Media artist, currently residing in Dublin and is a member of an emerging Dodo collective. Her pieces include print, installation, video and audio work.
Luobo Gelda investigates the physiological processes that are triggered in a human being while communicating with an art piece. A division of the human brain into logic and emotion could easily represent the constant inner struggle, trying to find a balance in two completely different areas of interest- art and Science.
Her major concern is whether it is possible to find a balance between artistic concepts and scientific experiments while combining them to create art for the purpose of changing people's awareness about genuine truths of this Universe. And if it is, this particular form of expression is to become the main tool of communication with her audience.
" Maybe, if we came back to our basic senses and truly back to our own physical bodies, the beauty of life itself could inspire us to cherish and value the NOW"- Luobo Gelda |

A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form. |
