Biography
NARET, Mexican Painter

NARET was born in the foothills of the Sierra Purica Mountains in the mining village of Nacozari , Sonora . He then went to study at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena , California , where he put life and form into his intuitive creativeness. In the late 1940, he arrived in Mexico City and started his long and successful career as an Art Director in advertising and as an entrepreneur. He was the founder of the TERAN\TBWA advertising agency which is one of Mexico principal agencies.

In the 1980 in response to his creative restlessness and sensitivity he began to dedicate more and more of his time to his painting. He did not abandon his advertising career and remains actively involved as the honorary president of TERAN\TBWA. His paintings are the result of his marvelous use of the information and knowledge acquired from years of emotions, dreams, images and coincidences which gave way to a new form of expressing himself creatively.

In a kaleidoscope of color, light, composition and form, NARET is paintings flow from the magic of his spatula, inspired by the biodiversity of the Sonoran desert, the rock and cave paints of our ancestors, the floral beauty of Xochimilco with the fascinating lines of its characteristic boats called trajineras, the seductive aspects of the Mayan Riviera as well as in his recent work in abstract art. All of these elements and more contribute to the personal and unique interpretation of his intriguing world.

A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form.
