From L'Ecole des Beaux Arts in Quebec to the Art Students' League in New York; from La Grande Chaumiere in Paris to the San Francisco Art Institute, Claire Oak has studied unders some of the finest teachers in the world of art. Winner of 25 First Awards in National and Regional shows, she has also gained personal recognition with the Susan B. Anthony "Woman of Achievement in Creative Arts" medal.

     Claire Oak currently divides her time between painting and teaching fine art. Versatile in different media such as oil, acrylics and stunning serigraphs, Claire Oak has, in recent years concentrated on watercolors. Her love of drawing combines in her work with an impressive sense of color, resulting in overall impression of simplicity and beauty.
