Biography 
Sergey Prisekin was born into the family of artist in Moskow in 1958. His mother is Lydia Prisekina, a graphik artist, a pedagogue. His father is Nikolai Prisekin, People’s Artist of Russia.
1971 -1977- Sergey Prisekin studied at the Moskow Secondary Art School.
Since 1976 – a regular participant of Union, Republican and internationalart exhibitions.
1977 - 1983 – studied at the Sourikov Moscow State Art Institute, the Department of Easel Painting, Professor T. Salakhov studio.His teachers were N.Khirstolyubov, Ye. Troshev, L. Shepelev, S. Shilnikov, Prof. T. Salakhov.
1983 – graduated from the Institute with honours.
1983 – admitted into the Russian Artists Union.
1983 - 1985 – served in the Soviet Army.
1984 – received a Grand Silver Medal of the All-Russia Academy of Arts.
1985 – became a Lenin Komsomol Prize winner
1986 – visited Nicaragua and painted a series of pictures there.
1986 – the artist’s professional tour of Kamchatka and the Far East.
1987 – Sergey Prisekin’s picture “Whosoever shall come to us with the sword shall perish with the sword!” was sent to Paris and placed at the USSR Embassy there.
1988 – exhibition of painters N.S. Prisekin and S. N. Prisekin in the town of Namur (Vallonia, Belgium).
1988 – the portrait of King Baudouin I was presented as a gift to the Belgian people.
1989 – sent by the Academy of Arts on a professional tour of Italian cities (Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Padua, Naples, Paestum, Perugia, Assisi, Ravenna, Arezzo ).
1989 – Prisekin’s picture “N. Pirogov and G. Garibaldi” presented as a gift to the Italian people by Mikhail Gorbachev, President of the USSR, during his visit to Italy.
1991 – Prisekin ‘s painting “And we honoured our oath of allegiance… Smolensk, 1812” finished that year, received the blessing of Kirill,Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, in Smolensk.
1992 – participated in a collective exhibition dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America held at the Skryabin Centre in Genoa, displaying his picture “Columbus”.
1992 – Prisekin’s one-man exhibition held at the EXIT ART Gallery in Cologne as part of Kunst-Messe (the festival of arts in Cologne).
1992 – 1993 – painted a portrait of Peter the Great commissioned by the Russian Government.
1993 – Prisekin’s picture “Whosoever shall come to us with the sword shall perish with the sword!” transferred from the Russian Embassy in Paris to the antehall of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow.
1994 – participated, as a member of the Governmental delegation headed by the President of Russia, in the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 75th birthday of M. Kalashnikov, designer of AK submachine gun, twice Hero of Socialist Labour. M. Kalashnikov was presented with his portrait by the artist.
1994 – the honorary title of “People’s Artist of the Russian Federation” conferred on the artist.
1994 – Queen Elizabeth II was presented with her portrait during her visit to Russia.
1995, September – the portrait of Catherine the Great on horseback presented to the Museum of the town Zerbst (Germany).
1995, September – on an artist mission to Chechnya. Working on a series of pictures.
1995, November-December –one-man exhibition at the Embassy of Russia in Born (Germany).
1996, March – presentation of the portrait of A. Pokryshkin at the Central Museum of the Armed Forces in Moscow.
1996, April-August – participated in the competition to paint the interior of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
1996, May – S. Prisekin’s and the sculptors Roukavishnikov’s exhibition in Frankfort on the Main (Germany).
1996 – decorated with a Medal “300th Anniversary of the Russian Fleet”
1996 – 2000 – appointed the head of a team of artists decorating the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
March 6, 1988 – decorated with a Medal after the first three times Hero of the Soviet Union A.I. Pokrishkin by the Central Council of the RussianDefenses, Sport and Technical Organization (ROSTO).
May-June,1998 – an exhibition “Let’s Dedicate to the Motherland…” of one of the groups of artists who decorated the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (team-leader S.N. Prisekin) took place in the Moscow exhibition hall Maliy Manezh.
September, 1998 – appointed the deputy chief of the Studio of Buttle-Pieces Painters named after M.B. Grekov.
