Biography | |
A member of a Creative Union of Artists of Russian Federation as well as of the International Federation of Artists in the Painting section.
Since 1989 is active in the regional professional exhibitions Autumn Vernisage, Ortodox Russia, and in group exhibitions of the Strangers artist club.
She held over 10 personal exhibitions, including those two in the Novgord exhibition center.
Paintings thematic range of Genkina is quite large: marine, still-life, portraits, surrealism. During 1998-2001 she created a cycle of artwork on the old slavic mythology.
Her Paintings were noticed by articles in magazines Technika molodjozhi (Technology and the Youth), Chudesa i prikljuchenija (Wonders and adventures), in the newspapers Novgorod Pravda, Novaja Gazeta, Novoe Delo.
Genkinas reproductions are used to illustrate volume 17 of the 20 volume set edition of the Library of Russian Fiction (publ. by Russian book, Moscow , 2000).
Three portraits of V.I. Dal` were created by the artist to celebrate his 200 birthday.
Genkina has been awarded a medal For the contributions to Russian culture by the Russian state library and an honorary diploma by the Rumjancevo community of GFB friends.
One of the portraits of V.I. Dal` is included to the 4-volume set edition of the Dal`s Tolkovyj slovar`.
Lots of her artowork are in private collections in Russia, US, Austria, Israel, and also in the house of folk art in Erevan, Armenia. |
