I truly enjoyed completing this piece, even though it was a long process from beginning to end. The total time I spent on this piece was approximately 50 hours. In the end, my hard work paid off, as I won the 2008 Junior Federal Duck Stamp Contest for the state of Tennessee, along with a $1,000 scholarship and $600 prize money.
The piece will now be made into stamps to promote wetlands conservation efforts in the state of Tennessee. |
