Description | |
Some paintings are not only difficult to do but even more so to talk about. "Pilgrimage" is both. It is dedicated to two books, The Conference of the Birds by Attar and Mount Analogue by Daumal. The Hoope is a country bird which nests in the trees and eats insects and so does not fly over the sea. (The male and female are almost identical) Yet if it is thought about, no real pilgrimage takes place on known ground. That is why we need a "sirmorgh" to guide us or a "peradam" to pay with. |
